Manufacturing Specification
As your design nears completion and we feel the product requirements have been sufficiently met through the design, development and prototyping stages, we can compile a through Manufacturing Specification. This document is a thorough overview of your project, outlining its features, materials, and suitable manufacturing processes, ensuring suppliers get all the information needed to review and quote for your product’s production.
This will also be accompanied by sets of engineering drawings, CAD files and bill of materials (BOM).
Production RFQ
Using the Manufacturing Specification document, we can help you collect production quotes for your project. We can tap into our trusted network of suppliers or new contacts relevant to your project. We can manage communication with manufacturers and present you their production quotes. We can also hand you the project’s documents for you to collect your own quotes.
Design for Manufacture
Before production can begin, it is essential to ensure the design is suitable for the selected production process. At Idea Reality this is typically considered at an early stage and refined as the design is developed through the design process. However, there are also occasions when the design must be updated or tweaked to suit the selected factories’ needs or machine constraints. We can communicate with your selected supplier and apply any tweaks needed to the design ahead of production.
Production Sampling and Evaluation
We can continue supporting you through the initial production sampling and evaluation stages of your product production, handling communication with suppliers, refining CAD files if needed.
