Product Disassembly and Research
Before any concepts are produced, it might be useful to carry out an initial research stage to explore of similar mechanisms that might be applicable for your product idea. This could also include disassembling physical products and producing quick functional bench prototypes to validate or discard ideas.
CAD
If a bespoke mechanism is required for your idea to perform as desired, our design team will take inspiration from any existing designs to create newly engineered parts using the latest 3D modelling software. This will be tied together with creating an innovative, aesthetic design for your product idea.
Simulations
If your concept includes moving mechanical parts, it is often beneficial to test they move and interact with each other using our CAD software before physical prototyping, this can be particularly useful if parts are affected by external forces. Using digital simulations, we can analyse how parts perform and update the geometry in any failing or underperforming areas.
Prototype, Test and Refine
The mechanical concept design then enters an iterative process where parts are prototyped, tested and adjusted as needed. To minimise the risk of design failure or user complaints and returns following production, our team will perform stress tests to account for any scenarios of user error for example.
