This stage typically includes, but is not limited to, analysing existing electronic products, conducting product teardowns, and setting up basic electronic compliance testing. By conducting a research stage at the start of the electronic design process, we can better understand the electronics required for the intended application. Initial product feasibility is often required when technology, systems, and component options remain unknown. TThis is a vital initial step, ensuring the most suitable solution is developed in line with client briefs, usability, and manufacturing or RRP budgets. We may also conduct benchtop electronic prototypes using off-the-shelf components to demonstrate functionality before moving on to miniaturisation and full PCB-compliant construction.

Electronics Specification and RFQ

Once a concept is developed our first step is to create an Electronic Design Specification Document that outlines the product functionality, initial component selection, block diagrams, PCB sizes and layout within the product casing. At this stage, components are simply blocked out within the CAD model to support our electronics engineers. We then work with our developers to further define the components and ensure that the volume- production cost is appropriate before completing the product development of the electronic hardware.

Electronics Hardware Design and Build

The electronics specification is shared with our skilled electronics engineers to begin PCB design and overall electronic assembly. Here the electronics requirements will be further established and refined. We have the capability to create electronic product prototypes ranging from simple gadgets through to complex machines and integrated systems with many components. Once the electronics have been validated and peer-verified by our hardware and firmware engineers, you will receive a final testing sample.
