Brainstorming
The first step to any of our design projects is a collective brainstorming session. This can either be an internal discussion, or involving yourself, if you opt to start you process with us with a design Workshop.
At Idea Reality, we are strong believers that the best designs are accomplished via ongoing collaboration within the team, and exposure to different points of view. Our open plan Design Studio makes this collaboration between our designers seamless.
Sketch Ideation
Our team will then dive into sketching their ideas. This is a quick method to validate ideas, discuss internally and work out form and mechanisms the product might require. The concepts created can lean towards functional, aesthetic, or both – as most suitable for each project.
CAD Product Design
The strongest concepts will then be refined in CAD, where our designers can further work out the construction of the product, explore its form, and review dimensions and mechanisms.
Rendering
Once the 3D CAD models of the concepts are ready, we take into rendering software to produce realistic images of the designs. We aim to show the product in context of use, and highlighting each concepts’ different aesthetic or mechanism.
Discussion
One of the most rewarding parts of this process, for us, is being able to present to you the different concepts designed. During a meeting, you will get a chance to clarify any questions regarding the designs, and let us know your preferred route to keep developing.
