We’re based in Andover, Hampshire, but our service is built around digital collaboration and managed logistics, so geography has very little bearing on how we work or what we can deliver. Andover sits at the intersection of two motorways and has a direct rail connection to London, making it straightforward for clients who want to visit in person, and we welcome visits to our office. That said, many of our client relationships are conducted entirely remotely, and our tools and processes are built to make that feel completely natural.
How does Idea Reality provide a global service?
Our product design service is designed to work at distance. From initial concept through to manufacture-ready product, every stage of the process can be delivered without the client needing to travel or be on-site.
We use OnShape, a cloud-based CAD platform that allows clients to view and collaborate on designs in real time via their web browser, with no need to purchase, download, or learn specialist software . Design workshops can be run via video call using Miro, a collaborative digital whiteboard that gives every participant a shared workspace where ideas can be developed together, even across different countries and time zones.
At the end of each project stage, clients receive a clear PDF presentation and full stage specification documentation for the following stage. These are the tangible deliverables that capture every decision, keep the project on track, and give clients a complete record of progress.
Where physical prototypes are involved, we manage the entire logistics chain. We work with trusted shipping partners to get prototypes to clients anywhere in the world, and we handle all the associated paperwork, customs documentation, insurance and compliance. Clients do not need to navigate any of that themselves. The prototype will arrive at your doorstep.

Our clients are based across the UK and internationally. There is no strong geographic concentration: we work with businesses in major UK cities, smaller regional markets, and clients based on the East and West coasts of the United States, for whom we have a dedicated US contact number.

Is our location right for you?
If you want to meet the team in person before committing to a project, being within travelling distance of Andover is worth considering. We’re well connected by road and rail, and we’re always happy to welcome clients to the studio.
For the vast majority of clients, however, proximity is not a factor. Our collaborative tools, clear stage documentation, and managed logistics mean the process works just as smoothly for a business in California as for one in Winchester. The right question to ask is not where we are, but whether we have the expertise to deliver your project.
